Digital Innovation Graduates are the foundation of HSBC, providing essential support across

technology for our global businesses and functions. We play a vital role in driving great experiences

for customers and colleagues and enabling the bank’s strategy.

Digital Innovation has three core streams; Engineering, Cyber and Data.

Using the latest technology, we understand our customers more deeply, respond to their needs

faster and provide tailored services – available anywhere and at any time. We’re innovating at speed

and scale to deliver digital-first banking for millions of people around the world.

What you’ll do

• Through technology you will power the world’s leading international bank, delivering easy and innovative digital experiences for customers and colleagues, while keeping people’s money safe and their data secure.
• You’ll get to solve complex problems that have a business-critical impact and create products or services through innovative use of technology.
• You’ll work with a range of technical teams on large-scale, global projects that will give you experience within Engineering, Cyber Security and Data.
• The programme offers a personalised growth path, global experience, and skills. You’ll have exposure and the opportunity to apply your learning and skills to a range of areas such as Artificial
• Intelligence and Machine Learning, Metaverse, Quantum Computing, Digital Trust, Development, Operations, Innovation and Transformation, Architecture, Global Payments and more.

Who you are

• You’re a creative problem-solver with a passion for innovating with technology.
• You’re already coding as part of your degree or in your spare time.
• You’re interested in Emerging Technologies.

Speaking up and building relationships with people for better collaboration is how you get things done. You embrace Agile working and want to work with people around the world on large-scale projects that impact millions. You have a strong analytical mind and an interest in developing your technical skills that you can apply to real-world situations.

You’re an innovative and logical thinker who can see the big picture, possessing the confidence to explore new concepts and ideas. You like solving problems by building and designing; and enjoy learning by doing. You thrive on tackling complex challenges in a structured and analytical way; and using data and logic to find solutions.

What you’ll learn

• You begin with an immersive induction programme to learn about the bank’s technologies and how we are driving the future of banking.
• Over the two-year programme you’ll have exposure to different technical teams. You’ll have a structured learning programme and the opportunity to get professional, industry-recognised certifications in areas such as Java, Agile, Cloud, Cyber Security, Software development, Technical Architecture amongst other areas.
