Senior Cloud Developer

Our customer - a global manufacturer and distributor of smart home hardware and software products, including temperature and lighting control, security, and water and air monitoring is in course of developing new software IoT platform which is controlling their smart home hardware devices.

While their existing SW team is assigned to development of that new platform, they need a temporary (~6 months) staff augmentation that will continue to work remotely on backlog of their existing platform which was partially developed by HARMAN in the past.

The successful candidate will join team of 12 HARMAN contractors supporting our customer remotely in this time-limited staff augmentation assignment.

You will be reporting to scrum master of scrum team and will work with sprint team of 4-5 engineers.

Senior Cloud Developer

What you will do:

• You will understand the existing platform and features,
• Work remotely on backlog of our customer’s existing IoT platform,
• Estimated time split in % between implementing new features and fixing defects: 50 / 50,
• You will communicate to the customer in understanding the requirements and providing status on weekly basis,
• You will participate in code reviews and do the testing of your code.

What you need:

• Experience delivering complex cloud service solutions,
• Familiar with the current industry standards for software development: CI/CD pipelines, git, github,
• Ability to work autonomously,                            
• Developing with, using, and maintaining Azure (preferred) or AWS SaaS services,
• Developing and deploying with Git, Kubernetes, AKS, ECS,
• Experience implementing production ready .NET solutions,
• Strong knowledge of .NET and C# (3+ years),
• 5+ years software development experience,  
• Fluent communication in English both spoken and written is mandatory.

What is nice to have:

• Experience with unit test frameworks such as XUnit, NUnit,
• Message bus or message queue such as Event Hub, Service Bus, SQS, RabbitMQ,
• Data analytics tools such as Splunk or ELK,                    
• NoSQL Database such as CosmosDB, DynamoDB, MongoDB,
• Relational Database such as SQL Server, Posgresql, MySql, Aurora,
• Experience with metrics/tracing tools such as Prometheus,
• Experience maintaining production applications.
