    IT System Engineer Application Observability Platform

    Gdansk, Poland


    Responsibilities

    • Support the transformation and modernization of our “Application Observability Platform” in terms of design and implementation of functional and non-functional capabilities 
    • Take care of integration into the existing and future Hapag-Lloyd application landscape (including development, deployment, and operation processes) 
    • Introduce and maintain a Data Lakehouse as part of the platform - for e.g., usage data, metrics, consumption ... to be best prepared for any analysis needed in the future
    • Advice and support of our IT product teams and specialist departments in design, implementation, and integration of observability solutions based on our platform
    • Further development and optimization of the platform - implementation and rollout of new features
    • Collaboration with operations providers, software vendors as well as product experts


    Qualifications

    • Willing to play a vital role in our transformation journey: From classic monitoring to a modern and holistic observability platform as product
    • Bring proven experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Dynatrace, Elastic (ELK), Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ...) and standards like open telemetry
    • Passion for customizing, developing, integration and rollout of holistic observability solutions for business-critical applications in an on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environment
    • Show flexibility, dynamism, and ability to work in an international team – which is particularly important to us, since it characterizes our internal culture
