Job Description:
You will be responsible for the architecture - designing, building and deploying new features in our Sales CRM solution and managing the ‘run’ of the solution on an on-going basis. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners / Managers, SCRUM Masters, Peer Architects and Data Engineers from other functions to deliver value for our end users (Sales professionals) and customers (Retail Outlets & Pharmacies).
- We are looking for an expert and passionate hands-on technical leader who have experience Salesforce, CRMS, Cloud environment and Microservices
- This is a “T-Shaped” role, demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineering competencies Architecture including Software Development, Testing, DevOps Automation
- This role will demonstrate knowledge/experience of industry technologies, practices, methodologies and frameworks. Most importantly, the individual must have excellent knowledge of the Salesforce.com platform and strong stakeholder leadership skills and salesforce experience.
- Equally important to technical capabilities is engineering craft development among fellow engineers. The role holder will become a mentor to team members, sharing knowledge and expertise and encouraging technical growth.

These responsibilities include the following:
- Provide technical thought leadership and direction/expertise to Engineering & Product teams composed of GSK FTEs, strategic partners and software vendors. Partner with other Technical Groups to understand and design potential data interfaces
- Support Product Owners to lead product teams to deliver value continuously, fostering and maintaining close links with customers and related Solution groups.
- Contribute to release planning and Product roadmaps, partnering with Product Owners and Product Director
- Proactively develop and deliver continuous improvement/simplification of Product portfolio to enhance user productivity, increase system reliability and reduce the total cost of ownership
- Contribute and align solutions to the Target Architecture working closely with Enterprise Architecture team
- Ensure that technical delivery is fully compliant with GSK Security, Quality and Regulatory standards
- Ensure continuity of business execution i.e. operational support for relevant applications
- Author and maintain relevant technical documentation in support of the lifecycle plan for audits/reviews.
Basic qualifications:
- Deep technical expertise in the Salesforce.com / Service Cloud platform
- Proven experience, with track record of developing brilliant application architects and their craft
- Excellent exposure and understanding of Agile ways of working and methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Good understanding of Microservices.
- Modern distributed systems – develop target architectures for lightweight, service-orientated functions within a Cloud environment.
- Proficiency with source management and version control
- Proficiency with SDLC tooling, e.g. Jira, Git/GitHub, Confluence, Blackduck, SonarQube, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communications skills
- Attention to detail, analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
Preferred qualifications:

- Salesforce.com certifications.
