We're seeking Python Developers (scrum team) who are eager for a new challenge.
You'll sign a direct contract with an e-commerce company based in Boston, Massachusetts, that was launched in 2015.
Because the major European command center is in Berlin, you'll need to be prepared to travel to Germany from time to time - especially in the aftermath of a pandemic.

Working hours: The usual working hours are from 9 to 5, but there is some flexibility around this. As we work with the US timezone (with a time difference of 6 hrs) we expect people to be available between 2 and 4 pm. for cross-border meetings. There is a possibility that our people sometimes work until 6 pm, but never later than that. Unless someone wants too :)

Your responsibilities will include
- Oversee large-scale python development, deployment, and testing with a cloud-first strategy
- Manage automation (python + shell scripts) as key to qualitatively scaling our team
- Manage a continuous integration and deployment infrastructure on the cloud
- Smart solutions including front- and back-end tasks, depending on your strengths
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and product owners to fulfill our customers' needs
- Depending on your skillset, you will work on the frontend, including new components within our style guide to unify the user experience across our platform or on back-office functionalities to fulfill the customers needs
- Manage how to store, perform queries, and manage big data on/to different data sources (BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Postgres)
- Understand all of the technologies we use. While each of us focuses on specific areas, we help each other and learn from each other
Technologies & programming languages we use:
- Technologies & programming languages we use: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Groovy, GO, Kubernetes, Vanilla JS (a usable backend trumps a shiny frontend).
You will find the team a great fit if:
- You are a true Python developer. You understand the pythonic way of writing things and different coding paradigms
- You must have used Python professionally for at least the last 2 years
- As a Mid Developer, you should have at least 3 years of technical work experience, as a Senior at least 5.
- You have worked with Django
- You understand the ins and outs of what you are talking about. You don't settle for "well it works now", but try to understand why it works or why it doesn't.
- You can analyze, plan and execute product developments
- A code without unit tests gives you nightmares
- You can communicate in Polish and English at a B2+ level.
- You live in Wrocław, Poznań, Szczecin, Jelenia Góra or or any location roughly 4 hours away from Berlin.
Nice to have: React, TypeScript.

2. Online meeting with the Client - HR Specialist + Technical Specialist approx. 45 min.
3. Technical screening - online meeting- approx. 1h (including 20 min. for technical presentation prepared by the candidate),
4. Final online meeting with Hiring Manager - approx. 30 min.
