Data Engineer

For our client operating in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a Data Engineer to work on developing scalable cloud solutions that enhance clinical trials and patient care.

Work Mode:100% remote

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions.
2. Design and build a foundational platform for a modern data lake architecture, optimizing it for scalability, flexibility, and performance.
3. Develop automated tests to ensure data accuracy and quality.
4. Assist with planning and maintaining the Azure architectural runway and pipeline for multiple products, ensuring their stability and efficient operation.
5. Continuously secure improvements that can make developers on the platform work more efficiently and act as a sparring partner on the use of Azure services for the organization.
6. Leverage expertise in cloud development to design and implement innovative digital solutions focused on delivering business insights and patient care in real time.

Expectations:

1. Strong proficiency in Python programming
2. Extensive experience with Azure, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, and a deep understanding of Azure architecture and services
3. Experience in using Spark, including Spark SQL and understanding of how to optimize Spark performance
4. Automated unit testing and code quality inspection
5. CI/CD Pipelines using Azure DevOps (or similar)
6. Working in the pharma domain or other regulated area is considered an advantage
