Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting and developing Software
- Profound knowledge and experience in JavaScript with a framework like React, Angular or Vue.js
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HTML and CSS.
- Database programming experience on SQL
- Experience in Python
- Experiences working in a team-environment with Scrum and Git
- Good command in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in UI-Design
- Specific experience with Vue.js or Electron
- Highly collaborative and engaging within a remote-team environment
About the job
During the last year, FRP developed two new software products with its existing clients. Fortunately, we see potential for a rapidly growing customer base for both products. Hence the team, as well as the demands for the software could grow rapidly.
Both applications share the same back-end (Python, Flask) but have a different front-end (JavaScript, Vue.js) for the two different user groups. Front- and back-end communicate via an API and everything is deployed as an Electron app. In the near- to mid-term we plan for our software to be transformed to a web-application (SaaS-Solution). Of course, such a transformation comes with a lot of challenges regarding the architecture of the software and data security topics.
With your technical expertise you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance our software. We work in a dynamic and agile team with short release cycles. You work on developing the code in the front- and back-end.
The team we are building consists of a product owner, a Scrum Master, and two to three software developers located in Warsaw, Poland. The Product Owner as well as the Scrum Master will operate from Switzerland.
About Financial Risk Pilot (FRP)
FRP was founded by Michaël Jaquet and expanded by late co-founders Alexander Seiler and Tobias Fuhrer. The company has 8 employees and works on products for asset managers and banks in Switzerland.
FRP is a fintech company that develops software products for managing financing portfolios of real estate investors. The company has some well-known clients and operates profitably. There is a strong growth potential for our main products in Switzerland, as well as other markets in Europe. Negotiations with new large customers are ongoing.
The two main products include:
- DebtPilot: An Electron app written based on Python and JavaScript (Vue.js). It supports bank customer advisors, in the preparation of customer meetings, as a communication tool and simulator during the customer meeting. After the customer meeting, the bank employee can generate relevant reports for the customer from the software.
- FinFlow: An Electron app for the management and valuation of real estate and financing portfolios.
Both products are under constant development. We also want to offer the products as SaaS solutions, which presents us with challenges of data protection, cloud infrastructure, etc. We are a small software team in Switzerland, moving the development to Poland.
