Job description

If you would like to take part in inspiring projects mostly for the European and American clients such as the development of an AI-supported ad and user-tracking free web browser, that may one day change the web search landscape as it is known now, we might be looking for you.

Our Client, a reputable software company that operates at the intersection of physical and digital space, is looking for a Lead Backend Developer, with hands-on experience in Node.js, to hop on board and take care of a small development team as well as lead activities related to team scaling.

About the project:

Once you join in, you will have a chance to collaborate with 12 other devs and work on the project that is aiming to give the user an alternative to Google. Together with a multinational team based in Poland and the US, you will develop an AI-supported and fully customizable web browser.

If you possess:

flawless English skills (both written and spoken),
practical knowledge of the JavaScript language,
a proven track record of Node.js and React.js development,
hands-on experience with at least one Node.js framework such as (Express.js/Hapi.js/Nest.js),
experience working with databases (Postgres, Mongo),
experience with test frameworks such as (Jasmine, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Tape, Tap),
experience in developing RESTful APIs with a good understanding of HTTP and JSON,
experience with CI/CD (GitHub actions, Circle),
previous team leading experience (nice to have),
contributions to open-source projects (nice to have),
experience with AWS/GCP and serverless functions development e.g. AWS Lambda (nice to have).

As well as:

scrum (or other Agile) development method experience,
you are keeping track of the industry developments and taking the initiative to incorporate these into the company technologies,
out-of-the-box thinking, the courage to turn your ideas into reality,
an ability to think about the big picture and innovations, but also focus on detail-oriented work,
ability to clearly communicate your work and decisions,
