The Data Semantics initiative is an integral part of our Data & AI Strategy, focusing on the integration and orchestration of ontologies to enhance our internal data ecosystem. We are committed to developing a common Data Language with a robust ontology framework that supports decision-making and fosters innovation across the organization. As the Senior Ontology Expert, you will be instrumental in the design and coordination of upper-level ontologies based on the W3C open standard, ensuring alignment with specific business domain ontologies.

Responsibilities:

·       Your main responsibility will be to oversee the technical integration of ontologies into our business processes.

·       You will work closely with subject matter experts across various business sectors and functions to implement a unified data language throughout company. 

·       You will manage the ontology lifecycle and ensure the successful deployment of ontology solutions.

·       This role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, offer insights on best practices, and promote knowledge sharing within the organization.

·       Additionally, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing ontology practices, ensuring they evolve with changing business demands and technological progress.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in ontology development and management, preferably in a global environment.

• Proficient in applying W3C open standards for building and maintaining ontologies.

• Proficient in ontology modeling tools as well as Semantic Web technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL), familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective ontology solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Passion for driving innovation and improvement in a dynamic environment, experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors is preferred.

• Proven ability to work in a global matrix environment, influencing stakeholders and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• We consider it a plus if you bring any relevant experience in the areas of Finance, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
