Senior Platforms Engineer

PROJECT INFORMATION:

• Industry: Banking

• Work model: hybrid (3/week in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia)

• Remuneration: up to 150 PLN/h netto+VAT (B2B)

Introduction & Summary

This role involves close collaboration with infrastructure architects to design, implement, and assure the robustness and long-term viability of infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong service-oriented mindset, goal-driven approach, and a proactive attitude. Key skills include expertise in the Oracle stack and Linux administration, as well as a solid foundation in multi-server management.

Main Responsibilities

The person will oversee core duties including:

• Automating environment management activities to achieve 100% efficiency.

• Designing and constructing fault-tolerant solutions.

• Creating scalable, secure, and easy-to-manage systems.

• Investigating and suggesting innovative methodologies for system administration tasks.

Key Requirements

• Solid experience with Oracle stack (Database, Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus).

• Solid experience in Linux administration.

• Proficient in managing multi-server farms.

• Experience in designing network topology, security, performance, and fault tolerance.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience deploying Java applications.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Good understanding of network and server virtualization.

• Background in application development or engineering.

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, or related fields.

• Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics/Dynatrace, Sysdig, Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, Influx DB).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Red Hat and Windows environments.

• Hands-on J2EE operations experience.

• Experience with Big Data infrastructure (Hadoop, Kafka).

• Expertise in scripting using tools such as shell, bash, perl, python.

• Work experience as a network engineer.

• Practical knowledge of Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
