Summary

The IT Business Analyst's primary purpose is to identify and document business and system requirements for AI-based solutions, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring their needs are met throughout the development process.

Main Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to understand the business processes and requirements for the AI solution.

• Document and formalize the business requirements using industry-standard methodologies and tools.

• Identify requirements and their specifications that accurately reflect the business needs and support the underlying processes.

• Collaborate with software developers and architects to ensure that the architecture and software designs align with the business requirements and goals.

• Ensure that the requirements are adequately documented, validated, and communicated across the project team and stakeholders.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to uncertainty, redundant process steps, data quality issues, data security, noncompliance with regulations, and privacy considerations.

• Work with governance committees to ensure that enterprise policies, standards, and guidelines are adhered to.

• Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure that the requirements are met and the systems function as intended.

• Continuously monitor and assess the different types of requirements and design to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and goals.

• Provide support and guidance to project managers, software developers, and other stakeholders in understanding and implementing the data requirements.

• Define user acceptance tests.

• Practical experience of the agile change lifecycle and the BA role within it.

• Comfortable working in cross-skilled delivery teams (working collaboratively with UX, Devs, Test, and delivery).

• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role in software delivery.

• Experience in capturing, analysing, and documenting functional & non-functional requirements.

• Experience in prototyping or rapid application development, or iterative development.

• Proficiency in exploring and understanding requirements and data to deduce, propose, or enhance business processes.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with senior executive stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Microservices architecture.

• Experience and understanding of AI-based solutions.

• Familiarity with banking and financial services industry-specific processes.

• Good understanding of BDD (Behaviour Driven Development).

• Familiarity with SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
