Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a client to support their Digital Security function. The consultant will operate within the client's PMO resource pool and be responsible for managing multiple concurrent digital security projects and workstreams across a global enterprise environment. The role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed scope, quality standards, and governance requirements.

Location: Stockholm (approx 2 days per week required in the office).

Start: Immediate to December 2026 (with possibility to extend)

Project Context

The client's Digital Security team is delivering a portfolio of strategic and operational security initiatives designed to strengthen the organisation's security capabilities, improve risk management, and support business transformation.

The Project Manager will be assigned to multiple projects simultaneously and will work closely with security, IT, business, and vendor stakeholders across different regions.

The Project Manager will operate within the PMO framework, ensuring adherence to project governance, reporting standards, and delivery methodologies while driving successful outcomes across the project portfolio.

Key Capabilities and Experience

Essential Experience

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Project Manager role delivering technology and/or security-related projects.

• Experience delivering Cyber Security, Information Security, Digital Security

• Demonstrable experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a PMO or portfolio delivery environment.

• Experience working within a large global enterprise organisation.

• Proven track record of delivering projects from initiation through to closure.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior business and technology leaders.

• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.

• Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed project teams.

• Experience producing executive-level reporting and presenting project status to governance forums and steering committees.

• Experience managing third-party suppliers and vendor-delivered work packages.

• Strong understanding of project governance, controls, and reporting requirements.

Project Management Knowledge

• Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, AgilePM, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery approaches.

• Understanding of project lifecycle management and stage-gate governance processes.

• Knowledge of change management principles and organisational change impacts.

• Experience with project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and resource management.

• Risk and issue management.

• Benefits tracking and delivery management experience.

• Dependency and stakeholder management expertise.

• Financial management and budget tracking experience.

• Knowledge of PMO standards, reporting frameworks, and portfolio governance.

Desirable Experience

• Experience delivering Cyber Security, Information Security, Digital Security, IAM, SOC, Security Operations, Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, or related security initiatives.

• Experience working in matrix-managed global organisations.

• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.

Technical Environment

• Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools for planning, scheduling, reporting, resource management, and governance.

• Enterprise productivity and collaboration suites, including document management, communication, meeting, and reporting capabilities.

• IT Service Management (ITSM) and operational support platforms.

• Cyber Security technology environments; identity and access management, cloud security, endpoint security, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and security operations capabilities.

• Enterprise architecture and technology governance frameworks.

• Global vendor and third-party technology ecosystems.

• Hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
