Data Architect (Data Products / Data Mesh)
Location: Gdańsk preferred, Gdynia or Warsaw also possible
Work model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office
Rate: up to 190 PLN/h net+ VAT

We are looking for an experienced consultant to drive the standardisation and scaling of technical interface design for data products within a large, international financial environment. This role is part of a broader transformation towards a data mesh operating model and modern data engineering practices.
The main objective is to establish consistent standards for designing, building, and maintaining data products, and to transition current semi-manual processes into scalable, business-as-usual engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the standardisation of technical interface design for data products (models, schemas, APIs)
Support the transformation from semi-manual data product development to automated, scalable engineering processes (including CI/CD, testing, schema evolution)
Collaborate closely with information modellers to integrate requirements management into the data product lifecycle
Influence and guide teams in adopting new ways of working across architecture, technology, governance, and delivery areas
Ensure consistency and quality in how data products are defined and exposed across the organisation
Key Requirements:
Strong experience in information modelling (logical and physical data models)
Hands-on experience with API design and management, including scaling and standardisation
Proven track record in driving change across processes, ways of working, or organisational culture
Solid understanding of data product design and modern data architecture concepts
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Professional level of English
Nice to Have:
Experience with integration patterns in complex system landscapes
Familiarity with metadata management practices
Understanding of governance frameworks and procedures
