Creative Writer (Brand & Marketing) to gaming client
We are looking for a Creative Writer to our gaming client.
Contract Information
Start date: Asap
Contract length: 18 months
Location: Stockholm/hybrid (must be on-site 3 days per week)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled, versatile, and production-focused writer to join the Brand & Marketing Creative team. This person will be an integral part of a hard-working team of writers and artists that are shaping our games voice and marketing campaigns, from copy libraries to articles and more writing-related tasks.
As a Creative Writer, you will craft messaging to inform the community about future releases, events, and products across all our channels, including our News page. Your writing will range from the promotional and informative to the deeply silly and inspirational.
We're a close-knit team that collaborates and supports each other, and we expect you to contribute to the team spirit we’ve build by requesting and providing feedback, stepping in to support when needed (and you have the capacity), and uplifting your fellow creatives with the goal of delivering top-tier creative work. You’ll be supporting a team of experienced writers by writing articles, copy libraries, and more based on marketing briefs.
What you'll do
Writing and editing articles and copy libraries for various channels based on briefs, delivering important information in an engaging and entertaining way.
Providing support to other writers as needed by writing about game-related and franchise news and providing feedback (proofreading).
Occasionally engaging in brainstorms around upcoming campaigns, projects, and updates.
Inputting your own and other writers’ articles into our content management system and prepping them for publication (writing accessibility text, basic SEO, etc.)
Requirements
You have an excellent grasp of written and spoken English, and an ability to write for diverse audiences and adapt your tone of voice. This includes proven creative writing skills demonstrating a great ear for humor and pace.
You have experience working based on briefs and can quickly understand the requirements in order to act fast.
You have experience writing against deadlines as well as managing your time and prioritizing across various projects, big and small; you take initiative and can hit tight turnarounds.
You have a collaborative and inclusive approach to work and request, offer, and act on feedback regularly.
You’re familiar with our game and are eager to learn more about it (ideally by playing it at work!); you’ll need to know the game well to deliver on your tasks.
It's a plus if you have experience working with copywriting (marketing copy) within an agency or the gaming/entertainment industry.
The Creative Writer will work closely with the Stockholm and US teams within a hybrid setup (two days in-office per week). They will be a highly skilled writer with good organizational skills, as well as a pragmatic and open approach to collaboration. They have a positive attitude, an open mind, and are willing to learn and grow as a writer and professional. And of course, they will contribute to our culture by being a pleasant and inclusive presence within the team, both online and IRL.
Please note that none of our external-facing creative output is supported by LLMs, and we expect the Creative Writer to deliver their work independent of AI-assisted tools (excluding basic spellcheck).
