Consultant Product Tax Law (Germany)

We are looking for an external tax consultant with strong expertise in German tax law, particularly in product tax law and corporate tax, for an engagement within an asset management environment that covers investment solutions and financial products. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills to advise on complex tax matters effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide tax advice in relation to financial products and investment solutions (product tax law)

• Analyze and assess tax implications at product level (e.g. fund structures, investor taxation, reporting)

• Support compliance with German tax and regulatory requirements

• Advise on corporate tax matters at entity level

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Tax, Legal, Product Management, and Finance

• Support the implementation of tax requirements into processes and systems

Key Requirements:

• Strong expertise in German tax law with a focus on product tax (ideally within asset management / fund environment)

• Solid knowledge of corporate tax

• Experience in asset management, capital management companies, or similar financial institutions is a plus

• Ability to translate complex tax topics into practical and understandable guidance

• Experience working in cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with regulatory aspects of the financial services industry

• Knowledge of international tax considerations

• Skills in tax technology or software would be beneficial

Other Details:

This position does not require German language proficiency, there is no travel involved, and the rate is open. The role is primarily remote within a financial services context.
