🚀 How you will spend your time:

As a Data Engineer at edrone, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our mission of providing seamless eCommerce solutions. Your role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• AWS Cloud Services Management: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and services within AWS to support data engineering functions. Utilize AWS services such as RDS, S3, Redshift, Glue, DynamoDB, Step Functions, ECS and Lambda effectively for data storage, processing, and orchestration.

• ETL Development: 
• Design and develop robust, scalable ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake.
• Utilize ETL tools and programming languages to clean, transform, and normalize data.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and reliability, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Data Pipeline Creation and Management:
• Build and manage real-time data pipelines to support analytics and operational requirements.
• Implement data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and pipeline orchestration techniques to enhance data flow and accessibility.
• Monitor data pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure uninterrupted data availability.

• Scheduled Tasks and Automation:
• Develop and schedule automated tasks for data extraction, transformation, loading, and backup procedures.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify and resolve scheduled task failures promptly.

• Collaboration and Leadership:
• Collaborate with analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering and AWS services.

• Performance Optimization and Scalability:
• Regularly review and optimize data storage, pipeline architecture, and query performance to handle increasing data volumes and complexity.

• Data Governance and Quality:
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies and practices, including data privacy, retention, and archival rules.
• Implement data quality checks and balances to ensure high-quality, reliable data throughout the data lifecycle.

👀 Who you are:

• Professional experience in Data Engineering Role (4+ years)
• Experienced in AWS (RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, ECS, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, CodeBuild, DMS)
• Expertise in ETL, Data Pipelines and scheduling tools
• Experience with Data Lake and Data Lake House architectures
• Master of Python and SQL
• Experience with Spark
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
• Communicative English
