We are currently looking for:
Snowflake Data Engineer
Job location: remote (Poland) or Warsaw
We are currently working for one of the biggest seafood companies to create a new modern analytics platform based on Azure. As a Data Engineer you will be part of the Analytics team in Poland working alongside the solution architect and client to take data throughout its lifecycle - exploration, data cleaning, integration, analysis, interpretation and visualization.
You seek to grow your expertise in the different infrastructures, tools and applications, and stages of advanced analytic workflows. You are inventive and passionate about streamlining and automating data acquisition and possess a highly structured approach to problem-solving.
You will be the go-to person for data handling and analytics processes.
Role Overview:
- Data and requirements analysis
- Ingest data-sources into data management platform
- Structure data into a scalable and easily understood architecture
- Development (full cycle including testing, documentation, UAT support, release to operations etc.) of BI/analytics application components using up-to-date cloud technology stack
- Scripting repeatable tasks
- Provide technology consulting to customer and internal project team
- Task estimation
- Documenting
Required:
- 5+ year experience in technical role in BI/ETL/Data Warehousing area
- In-depth understanding of data modelling
- General knowledge of Azure ecosystem
- Ability to reverse engineer existing solutions and propose improvements
- Solid experience with ETL/ELT tools or custom pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and stored procedures (including DB query optimization)
- Worked with GIT
- Analytical thinking
- Good English
Nice to have:
- Snowflake experience
- Azure experience
- Talend experience
- Python skills
