Job description

Online interview

Are you who we’re looking for?

A talented SDET is required to join our growing and ambitious SaaS company.

We are a unique player in the market, helping companies solve their most complex data problems with our intuitive software.  We already have more than 100 customers including many of the world’s leading financial institutions, plus the backing of top software investors.  Our people are based across offices in London, Edinburgh, New York, Singapore and Poland.

A role where you can make a real difference

Working alongside other Developers and QA Engineers, you’ll help build the product effectively, efficiently, and to a high quality.
We'll do this by improving existing systems and lending expertise to development teams.
This will include working across a wide range of areas, including observability, test automation, code refactoring, CI/CD tooling and pipelines, and build systems.

Our product

The Duco Platform brings together data prep, data quality, reconciliation and lineage across your enterprise. It delivers rapid deployment of no-code, machine learning powered solutions that enables customers to build a single source of truth for mission-critical data across your organisation.

Why Duco?

At Duco, we put people first. We genuinely care about transparency and give everyone a voice. Regardless of your role in the company and your seniority level, we value everyone’s opinions. We’re honest with our employees and share both good news and bad news. Our philosophy is to support instead of micromanage.

Using an exciting tech stack:

We mainly use the following technologies:

  • Java, Ruby on Rails, MySQL and React with Gitlab - to develop and test
  • Docker, Helm and Kubernetes - to run our software
  • Terraform and AWS - to provision and run our infrastructure
  • Prometheus and Elasticsearch - to monitor “all the things”
  • Selenium and RestAssured - to functionally test our applications
  • Gatling - to performance test our applications

How you’ll be contributing to our continued success:

  • Defining and creating automated tests
  • Pairing, training and coaching developers on automation testing
  • Increasing development velocity through CI/CD improvements
  • Advancing Duco’s performance testing approach and framework

Interested? To be successful in the role, ideally you’ll have:

  • Solid Java (or similar language) skills
  • Experience with Selenium (and RestAssured or other HTTP client)
  • Worked within a testing or QA function alongside agile software development teams
  • A desire to solve problems and learn continuously
  • Great self-organisation skills, and a positive, solution-focussed approach

A worthy reward package is on offer:

  • A base salary, reviewed annually (the starting salary range for this role will be 198 000,00 PLN - 264 000,00 PLN annually, in line with your current experience and local market standard)
  • A success-sharing bonus scheme, so we can recognise the efforts you put in
  • Share options, so you reap the long-term rewards of helping make Duco successful
  • Unlimited annual holiday, because we trust people to manage their own time off
  • Flexible working options: you can choose to work from home, at the office, or both - whatever is best for you.
  • We’re also pretty relaxed about working hours, as long as you’re delivering what’s needed
  • Annual allowance to help you make the best of your home working environment
  • Enhanced family leave provisions
  • Personal learning and development opportunities (we dedicate budget for this)
  • Spot rewards, so we can say thanks when you do a really great bit of work
  • Referral bonus if we hire someone great who you’ve recommended to us
  • Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards
  • Private medical care packages: individual, partner or family
  • Multisport card
  • Life insurance package

Important note!

Please keep in mind we’re not seeking ‘the perfect candidate’ with gold medals and superpowers. Even if you feel you can’t tick every box above, please do apply.  We review all applications with real interest, and we believe in supporting people’s potential.

A final note about COVID-19 and our hiring process:

We’re helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by continuing to work mostly remotely. Interviews will therefore be carried out by video conference.
