Cloud Data Engineer with an agile mind-set

You can be a part of our success by joining our R&D team in Warsaw as a Cloud Data Engineer to help us better understand how people with hearing disabilities are using our products. Main Responsibilities
In your role as a Cloud Data Engineer your main responsibilities will be to expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimize data flow and collection for product teams. An ideal candidate is an experienced Data Engineer, ideally with cloud background & competence.

- Design, implement, and support modern data solutions with Azure
- Build, maintain, and optimize data preprocessing pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Orchestrate data flow in the organization
- Identify, design, and implement internal data collection process improvements
- Optimize data delivery and (re)design data-related infrastructure accordingly
- Design and build data quality monitoring into our systems
- Enforce best security practices in the data area
- Support ML models deployment and MLOps implementation
- Support Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Data Scientists
- Promote DataOps principles across organization
You will work in close collaboration with Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and BI Developers. Overall, you can look forward to work in a growing agile setup with a wide range of challenging tasks.

Personal qualifications
- Practical experience in developing data products for analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence solutions
- Broad experience in modeling data and data pipelines
- Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure (preferably Azure) would be a big plus
- Experience in data flow orchestration
- Understanding of data platform development process with relevant practical experience
- The successful candidate should know:
- Programming languages (at least one): python, scala, java
- Storage technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, other
- GIT or other version control systems
- Big data technologies (like Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, Hadoop)
Expectations
- BSc, MSc level within computer science, mathematics, physics, analytics, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years (5 for Senior) of relevant work experience
- Practical experiences within agile development methodologies
- Eagerness to take on responsibility
- Focus on delivery according to priorities and business goals
- Ability to communicate with various stakeholders to obtain their buy-in and engagement
- Team player able to motivate others
- Able to strive achieving goals within the given time, with the resources available, while maintaining high quality work
