CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. We create proofs-of-concept, help our clients build new products, nurture existing ones and provide services in production environments. Our clients include both tech startups and big players in various industries and geographic locations (US, Japan, Israel, Europe).

The project and the team
The goal of the project is to build a platform to support the business decision process by generating specialized reports on companies and their competitors. The platform aggregates multiple Internet data sources and uses advanced ML algorithms.
What else you should know:
- The team currently consists of less than 15 people including Java, Python, and UI developers, database engineers, data scientists, DevOps, architect, and project manager.
- We use SCRUM/Agile methodology and work closely with the Product Owner on the customer’s side.
- Our tech stack for the project includes Python3, Flask, Pandas, Java 11, Spring, AWS, Nginx, Kubernetes stack.
- The client is based in the EU.
We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing a proof-of-concept of a new product feature or delivering changes in small increments for:
- a data pipeline based on Apache Airflow and PostgreSQL / NoSQL DB executed in AWS Lambdas
- Multiple REST APIs
- Helping to shape the new, cloud-native architecture and participate in the transition
- Optimizing DB schema to match your changes or performance requirements
- Delivering CI changes, and automated tests
- Changing the PoC to a full-size feature to be added to the customer’s product
- Validating the solution with end-users / Product Owner
Do we have a match?
As a Senior/Principal Python Software Engineer you must meet at least 3 out of 6 criteria from the below list:
- Excellent knowledge of Python 3.5+ and OpenAPI
- Good knowledge of Flask or Apache Airflow
- Knowledge of software development best practices: design patterns, data structures, continuous integration, code review, unit / functional / regression tests
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of Linux, Git and Docker
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level)
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:
- Experience creating modern data pipelines
- Good knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of big data concepts, architectures and tools
