Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

We offer an opportunity to work on projects for client in the financial industry.

This role may require communication and interaction with a wider international team.

In this position, your contribution will be important in:

• Designing, building, and maintaining reliable software systems
• Developing Software and Infrastructure Solutions: Create software tools to automate processes and enhance efficiency, and reliability for DevOps, ITOps, and support teams, while also constructing and managing cloud-based infrastructure on the AWS platform
• Leading root cause analysis of system failures and implementing strategies to prevent future incidents.
• Driving the adoption of SRE best practices within the organization
• Conducting post-incident reviews and implementing remediation actions

Ideally if you posses the knowledge of the following technologies:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as SRE/DevOps engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance
• AWS Proficiency: Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) with hands-on experience in constructing and managing cloud-based infrastructure on the AWS platform
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt, as well as CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, essential for managing and automating infrastructure deployments and updates
• Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, particularly with managing applications hosted within Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
• Proficient with Jenkins
• Experience with GitLab
• Proficient in Bash and Python
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, ELK, Zabbix or other equivalents
