Quality Assurance Engineer

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for manual and automated test of software products for a global real-estate business-line. Working within a talented and successful team of software engineers, architects and analysts, the successful QA engineer will be responsible for ensuring they deliver best-in-class software products working strictly to the SCRUM agile methodology. Reporting to the engineering lead, the QA engineer will be expected to deliver automated regression suite using selenium, perform manual tests when necessary to ensure product quality. The QA engineer will also ensure sufficient coverage is maintained in the regression suite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Keep the automated regression suit up to date with sufficient coverage.

·         Working alongside developers during the sprint to sign off user stories for the sprint and delivering the sprint goal.

·         Taking part in the sprint ceremonies.

·         Functional testing, Smoke testing and Regression Testing, during the release cycle.

·         Perform performance testing when big features are released.

·         Support others within the team during the development and testing phases 

·         Participate and support effective user story development 

·         Produce test result reports 

·         Fluent English in speaking and writing

·         Strong knowledge in test automation frameworks.

·         Previous experience as a quality engineer would be an asset

·         Experience with the following: Java, Selenium, SpecFlow

·         Deep understanding of the Microsoft development stack

·         Experience in testing API using automation frameworks

·         Experience in using Jmeter to test performance of the application

·         Working with Git Hub repositories.

·         Understanding of Gherkin syntax, TDD, BDD

·         Proven experience of managing automation frameworks and working closely with developers to ensure high quality product            is delivered.

·         Knowledge of the core principles of object-oriented development and coding best practices

·         Passionate about technology & aware of the latest technology trends

·         Knowledge of mobile, web, database and reporting technology platforms.

·         Ability to understand user stories and follow the acceptance criteria for testing

·         Ability to communicate across all levels within the business

·         Professional approach & “customer friendly”

·         Experience in working in agile environment
