We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer who understands Java/Kotlin & Spring really well and who would like to work with AWS on daily basis. And what would you do? We need you to develop and enhance innovative and robust backend application for one of our main clients. The application is an intelligent point-of-sale widely used in Israel and since 2016 successfully entering European market. We are responsible here for providing: backend server, web application, a set of mobile applications including the main POS app, customer facing application and the self-checkout application. In addition to development we are taking care of the management, testing and the maintenance of the system.

What would you do as Backend developer:

create high-quality backend applications
participate in software code reviews
have a direct contact with clients and advise in their decision making process (we use English on daily basis)
share knowledge with the rest of the team
improve internal software development processes

What We Are Looking For:

at least 3-4 years of commercial programming experience (preferably of course in backend or fullstack)
very good working knowledge and deep understanding of Java and Spring framework
good knowledge and understanding of Kotlin
experience with databases, in particular MySQL
familiarity with AWS or other Cloud providers
excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
very good command of English (both written and spoken)

We Would Also Appreciate If You Have:

familiarity with Docker
familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies
