We’re looking for an exceptional servant leader for Tutoring Product Teams, who will serve both the team and the organization, who will help individuals to grow and will be a true change agent and facilitator. 

This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the Tutoring Product Teams and product - having a massive impact on the lives of hundreds of millions of students globally. Every day our Tutoring Product Teams are developing and delivering the on-demand expert product to help our audience to get unstuck with their educational doubts. We strongly believe in a user-first approach, and by listening to our audience, we are expanding to new markets (beyond US and India), increasing coverage with additional subjects supported by tutors and scaling up subscription based business models.

As Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in making the Product in Brainly a scalable and high-performing organization.
You will have the opportunity to lead and manage a multifunctional team that is responsible for building customer facing products. Your role includes being responsible for performance and delivery of the team in the Tutoring department. 

Your responsibilities will include cooperating with the Product Manager, enabling the team to deliver the product, overseeing processes and standards, managing the professional development of team members, building relationships with key stakeholders within the company, supporting the estimation and planning of implementations, and more.

Over time you will be expected to develop senior technical members into proficient tech leads and to coach less-experienced managers in project management and people skills.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiast of educational technologies with experience in software development, and a blend of people management and project management skill set.


WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • Collaborating with the Product Managers and other stakeholders in order to deliver value
  • Setting up and maintaining software development processes with focus on  continuous improvement, delivering outcomes and internal and external team collaboration. 
  • Helping the team to achieve the goals by proper short term planning, removing impediments, and by splitting big chunks into smaller pieces to incrementally deliver the value and being able to measure the success
  • Developing the team in a way that has all the capabilities in order to deliver solutions in the domain of expertise. 
  • Foster feedback culture and values of openness, honesty, and respect as well as a culture of transparency, trust and failure.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster healthy working environments.
  • Managing projects - initiating, planning and delivery and reporting development status to higher-level management. 
  • Leading the team through the execution, identifying risks and dependencies and finding solutions to address them; 
  • Deciding on the resources allocation.
  • Coaching the team, implementing agile principles, and providing methodologies that will help them to identify the actual problem and focus on what matters.
  • Taking care of the well-being of the employees. Representing and promoting Brainly values.
  • Aligning the objectives of the team with the accountability of team members.
  • Coaching individuals through their performance and professional development. Supporting creating their development plans.
  • Making space for transparent communication both ways, being active listeners, and understanding the perspective of another person.

 
WHAT WILL YOU NEED:
Experience
Required
  • 3+ years of experience with agile development either product owner, engineering manager, team manager, project manager or scrum master
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams with a focus on the end user
  • Experience in being direct manager 
  • Experience in building relationships within the organization in order to fully understand the stakeholder needs and how to make them understand capabilities created by the team
  • Experience with hiring and performance management
  • Understanding and experience in Scrum approach
Preferred
  • Experience managing teams in the product that heavily rely on the operational backoffice
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches; Kanban
