We are searching for a Cloud engineer (senior) to enablement team in Nykredit BizTech Wealth

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will be part of BizTech Wealth, who is responsible for Nykredit’s systems within market data, risk, investments and asset management. You will be part of our Software Delivery Wealth & Banking department, which is the competence center for the developers and engineers. On a day-to-day basis you will be part of the enablement team in the BizTech Wealth organisation.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Join a new Software Delivery Enablement team, who will be establishing a new cloud platform on the Azure stack in adherence to our high security standards.
• Optimise developer experience. Understand our business outcomes, gather and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements (quality attributes) and elicit these into cloud solution design.
• Define and measure goals for reliability, scalability, performance, and security. Adopt SLA/ SLO/SLI usage.
• Apply industry best practices in terms of telemetry and observability.
• Enable and empower development teams by providing expertise in creating efficient, secure, and scalable cloud-ready/ native solutions.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, ensuring a streamlined and automated software development lifecycle.
• Work with legacy solutions by guiding the transition to modern, cloud-native architectures.
• You are staying updated on best practices, emerging technologies and standards and adopting this in continuous acceleration of our development teams.

To succeed you will have:   

You can mirror yourself in the listing below, but most importantly, it is about mindset; staying curios towards evolving technological capabilities and business needs, resolving platform problems efficiently as code and enabling peers with good collaboration skills.

• +5 years of experience as cloud or DevOps Engineer, domain knowledge from financial services is considered a plus.
• You are language agnostic, with C#, Java and/or Python at a level, where you can help other developers and build the right technical capabilities.
• You consider programming language as a tool defined by the task to optimise business outcomes.
• You have a bachelor or higher degree in computer science, engineering or other relevant education.
• Experience with design, implementation and maintenance of cloud solutions.
• Experience with working within the DevOps mindset, configuration of container platforms, orchestration and CI/CD on-prem/ cloud. We use Bamboo, Octopus, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, SpecFlow og SonarQube.
• Interest in the use of AI as part of the software development (ChatGPT, Github Copilot/Chat).
• Experience with microservices and event-based solutions, preferably Azure as cloud platform.
• Domain experience from the financial services or asset management industry, or a keen interest in learning a new business domain.
• You often take the lead in technical discussions, solutions design and best practices with your peer software engineers and architects. You are generous with your expertise and think of it as a success to make your peers even better and to accelerate our development teams.
