Get to know the role
As a  Senior mainframe Specialist you will have the responsibility to deliver technical support of mainframe systems and software. The knowledge area in which we are looking for Specialists is DB2, IMS and MQ, CICS, Automation.

  • As a System programmer DB2/IMS/MQ on z/OS your main tasks are related to: 
  • Software lifecycle management: installation, upgrade, maintenance and replacement of software 
  • Exploring new product features which can benefit the customer as well as Atos 
  • Second line support in case of software errors 
  • Assist customers in using the software products 
  • Incident, change and problem handling 
  • Configuration and customization 
  • Setup of parameters 
  • Setup of customer dependent parts (e.g. user administration, product calendar, authorization matrix)  
  • Documenting 
  • Communication with customers and vendors 
  • Participation/contribution to technical projects

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of CICS and related product software z/OS 
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of Automation on z/OS and related product software z/OS 
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of Db2 on z/OS and related product software z/OS 
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of IMS DM&TM on z/OS and related product software z/OS 
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of MQ on z/OS and related product software z/OS 
  • Programming knowledge of REXX and JCL, ISPF/TSO 
  • Knowledge of installation (SMP/E) 
  • Resolving performance issues 
  • Knowledge of CA & BMC tooling  
  • University degree in Computer Science or related subject  
  • At least 5-8 years’ of verifiable experience as IBM mainframe specialist (zSeries) 
  • Excellent command of English; Dutch, German and/or French is a plus.
