Currently, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to join one of our customers' Product Squads. They will be tasked with creating a suite of automated unit and service level tests to reduce the squads manual regression burden and increase code quality. The SDET will be required to mentor Engineers and testers in the squad on SDET best practices and skills. The SDET will have strong C# Engineering experience. We require an Engineer with a testing mindset.



The SDET will:


Identify and create key service level automated tests and unit tests for the squad codebase. Refactor existing code to allow for the creation and execution of meaningful service level tests. Upskill Squad Engineers and Testers in SDET best practice.

Your role in the team will include


  • making sure that the quality of the platform meets business requirements
  • design, plan and perform automated tests of web applications
  • building tools and infrastructure for automated tests
  • running automation scripts during release cycle and regression phase
  • documenting and reporting software defects
  • supporting delivery process
  • close collaboration with other teams (Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Automation Testers, Developers) 

 

We're looking for you if you have


  • 5+ years of professional experience as a SDET, software engineer or similar role with focus on quality
  •  5+ years of professional experience programming with .NET / C#, including object-oriented design:

    to programmatically test the product, measure test coverage, develop the best automation, drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas

  • Expert with testing practices, including regression, acceptance, functional and load testing
  • Experience in the architecture and creation of automation frameworks, test harnesses and/or QA focused tools
  • Experience of mentoring Engineers and growing SDET capability within a Squad 
  • DevOps mindset, automating quality across the full SDLC from ideation to live and run


Nice to have:


  •  Insurance industry experience
  •  Experience working with Agile frameworks like Scrum or SaFe
  •  Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Professional experience of Azure & CI/CD
  •  Experience with performance and stress testing


Our recruitment process is quick and simple


You will face two stages of recruitment. 

The first is a technical interview, lasting 1.5h.

The second stage is live coding, lasting 1h.

The third stage is an interview with the PM and the client, also lasting 1h.

The next stage is the decision (3-5 days)
