Senior Test Automation Engineer (E2E & API)

About the Project

Currently we are looking for Senior Test Automation Engineer with experience in Java who will join team working on projects from logistics industry. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that advanced Supply Chain Management products deliver superior quality. You will be part of a team focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test suites across various layers of the application stack. With a commitment to constant improvement and high standards, you will actively contribute to ensuring product quality throughout its development lifecycle.

Duration of the project: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated end-to-end (E2E), UI, and API test suites using frameworks like CodeceptJS, TestCafe, or WebDriver

• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) to ensure fast, reliable feedback during development

• Create robust test data strategies, including mocking and synthetic data generation

• Define and drive the test automation strategy aligned with product quality goals and delivery timelines

• Identify high-risk areas and ensure they're thoroughly tested through automation

• Recommend and integrate tools and frameworks to improve testing depth and efficiency

• Work closely with developers and product teams to turn business requirements into executable test cases

• Promote a test-first mindset within agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives)

• Mentor team members on test automation practices and contribute to internal QA documentation

Expectations

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Test Automation Engineer or similar QA automation role, with a solid background in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks

• Hands-on expertise with API testing tools such as Postman and SOAP UI (or equivalents)

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks like CodeceptJS, TestCafe, WebDriver, as well as performance tools like JMeter and load testing tools such as K6

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MSSQL); experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus

• Proficient in programming with JavaScript, .NET (C#), and Angular

• Experience troubleshooting across UI, backend services, and databases, including debugging flaky tests and identifying root causes

• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps

• Comfortable working in Agile environments, participating in sprint ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Solid understanding of modern development and deployment tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and NGINX

• Experience working with authentication systems like Keycloak and configuring infrastructure with YAML

• Familiarity with event streaming platforms like Kafka and caching systems such as Redis

• Confident using project and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence

• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly document, explain, and review test cases and strategies

• A proactive mindset focused on quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team

• English on an advanced level (written and spoken)
