What you’ll do
The key responsibilities are:
- Client facing role to provide assistance and advisory to clients for application management, with special focus on software customizations, their ongoing maintenance as well as development
- Understand client’s design, technical configuration and relationships between service components
- Document and track changes to the application and its customizations
- Lead upgrade activities with regards to client’s application and make sure customizations are compatible
- Liaise with client stakeholders making sure new requirements are understood, translated and implemented as per request
- Working methodically to ensure that issues and requests are correctly categorised and prioritised. Responsibility should be taken for assigned tickets from inception to resolution.
- Managing issues on client systems, applying updates and workarounds for known issues, logging tickets and ensuring they progress to completion while keeping clients updated.
- Building and developing a runbook of known issues
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to client technical development and/or production support staff to facilitate handover
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience:
- Very good English skills, min. B2/C1
- Experience in technical support, software development or consultancy
- Analytical, client-focused, problem-solving and quick-learner
- Ability to provide conscise and accurate updates and explanations to clients and team members
- Implement CI/CT processes to help ensure high-quality deliverables
- Continous improvement mindset
- Ability to identify known issues and document workflows & processes
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Understanding of accounting principles / revenue streams would be an asset
- Experience in implementation projects for business / finance software would be a benefit
Technical Skills:
- Proven commercial experience of realtional databases PL/SQL, especially the ability to create procedures – Oracle ideal, Teradata bonus
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools
- Experience with ETL + BI tools & platforms
- Exposure to performance tuning (databases)
- Experience in programming (Oracle, Java etc.)
- Exposure to Tomcat or any other webserver a bonus
- Scheduling tool experience (Control-M / Autosys / Other) a bonus
- Experience with Cloud-based solutions a bonus
Availability and work shifts:
- Work inside client’s business hours (whether CET or EST / PST)
- Possible standby cover during weekends and/or bank holidays
