    Job Purpose and Overview


    We are looking for a seasoned professional to help us build tools that bring IT Service Management (ITSM) to the new level: defining and tracking SLAs, enhancing Jira workflows and configuration, managing assets, and integrating everything together through REST APIs. Our products are used by thousands of companies from various industries to make their ITSM processes a piece of art.

    You’ll become a member of the product team that delivers new features, improves apps usability, and cares of the tech behind the scenes. As Lead Software Engineer you will guide the development of secure, reliable, performant and scalable AWS based cloud applications, and push the boundaries of technological innovation.


    What You Will Do


    • Join a self-organizing, cross-functional product team and cooperate closely with other Software Engineers, Product Manager, Team Leader, and with other specialists like Product Marketeers or Support Engineers.
    • Lead, design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable applications written in TypeScript / React, Node.js and Java.
    • Follow and establish the best engineering practices: automated testing, code review, pair programming, YBIYRI (you built it you run it).
    • Automate cloud services and configuration management to ensure scalability, operational efficiency and cost optimization.
    • Share your thoughts openly and honestly on what would be the best for the customers and the business: you will be part of discussions about the future of our products and Appfire.
    • Be the change you seek - champion improvements within the team and products, adopting a proactive stance on innovation and process enhancement.
    • Benefit from the seamless access to Support team, quick feedback and direct communication with our customers.


    What We Would Like to See


    • Proven record (7+ years) of delivery of multiple scalable, high volume traffic cloud applications.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, coupled with strong Node.js skills. Knowledge of React is highly beneficial, and experience with Java is advantageous.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and embracing new technologies.
    • Truly engineering approach to solving problems. Good theoretical foundations of computer science (e.g. algorithms and computational complexity, OOP) are super practical in the ever-changing landscape of technologies.
    • Excellent understanding of modern Cloud architectures, and practical experience implementing them in AWS, specifically with Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EC2, S3, and CloudFormation.
    • Deep architectural understanding of web applications, including performance, quality and security aspects.
    • Desire and ability to mentor other team members.
    • Command of English at level B2 or higher.
    • Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.

    Nice to have:

    • Open-source projects contribution or tech community activities, demonstrating your engagement outside the job.
    • Technical certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar, showing you mastered the cloud stuff.
    • Experience with different cloud platforms, like Azure or GCP, because we like to experiment and mix things up.
