Job Purpose and Overview

The NextUp team at Appfire focuses on building apps that help software development and support teams work in a more collaborative and natural way. For rich integration with Jira we created Slack Integration+ and Microsoft Teams Integration+, for support teams using Jira Service Management there is HelpDesk+ and for Confluence integration we have Docs+. We are looking for talented engineer to join the Integration+ product suite, become part of a wider team developing products thousands of customers rely on, and have access to all the career and development opportunities which that brings!

What you will do

• Join a self-organizing, cross-functional product team and cooperate closely with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, Team Leaders, and with other specialists like Product Marketers or Support Engineers;
• Build and maintain efficient and scalable Node.js applications;
• Follow the best engineering practices: automated testing, code reviews, pair programming, YBIYRI (you built it you run it);
• Share your thoughts openly and honestly on what would be the best for the customers and the business: you will be part of discussions about the future of our products and Appfire;
• Decide freely about your day and assignments - we do not micromanage people and we do care about work & life balance;
• Be the change you seek - if you see that something can be improved, suggest how and make it happen (alone or by engaging your colleagues).

What we would like to see

• Relevant professional experience (1+ year) with Node.js and either JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages - while we appreciate some breadth, we value the depth even more!
• Strong communication skills with the willingness to learn and use multiple technologies;
• Truly engineering approach to solving problems. Good theoretical foundations of computer science (e.g. algorithms and computational complexity, OOP) are super practical in the ever-changing landscape of technologies;
• Basic understanding of the architecture of Node.js applications and RESTful APIs, including performance, quality and security aspects;
• Familiarity with modern Cloud architectures (particularly AWS) along with MongoDb and PostgreSQL databases would be an advantage;
• Professional proficiency in English (level B2 or higher);

• Salary Ranges: Perm (UoP) 7000 - 12 000 PLN gross/month (Possibility to apply for 50% tax deductible costs on creative works- AKUP/IP tax-deductible costs)
