We are looking for Senior AI Engineer for our client largest mutual life insurer in the U.S., with over 180 years of financial strength and stability. As a mutual company, it operates in the best interest of its policyholders, offering a wide range of insurance and investment solutions. Known for its strong agent network and top-tier financial ratings, New York Life is a trusted leader in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Python API Development: Strong experience building scalable APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.

• Model Context Registry Design: Ability to design and maintain registries or metadata stores using PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar databases.

• Secure Service Integration: Skilled in building performant, testable services that securely integrate with AI/ML models and tools.

• Cloud & DevOps Proficiency: Experience deploying services in AWS, including API security, observability (logging/monitoring), and operational best practices.

• Model Deployment & Orchestration: Hands-on experience deploying and orchestrating models using Kubernetes, KServe, or Kubeflow Pipelines.

• Performance Optimization: Ability to tune model serving for low latency, resource efficiency, and scalability in production.

• Kubernetes Infrastructure Management: Proficient in deploying containerized components to EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and managing monitoring and scaling.

  
  

And if you possess...

• Familiarity with ML model versioning and governance (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker Model Registry).

• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, GLBA, PCI-DSS) with secure data handling practices.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for AI workflows and containerized deployments.

• Experience implementing model explainability, bias detection, or responsible AI frameworks.

• AWS certifications (e.g., Machine Learning Specialty, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) are a plus.
