About the project

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our team to manage and deliver Kafka, databases and other stateful workloads to engineers. You would be a part of our client's team, which is improving their internal platform.

Our client needs a qualified person to run the new initiative which enables businesses to embed financial services products such as payments, deposits, point-of-sale credit and merchant cash advances directly into their customer journeys without the hassle of becoming a bank. So there is more like a start-up environment rather than a corporate one.

Teams will do most of their work remotely from home, coming together, in the office in Warsaw, at least twice a month to connect & collaborate with colleagues, what they highly value.

What would you do

• Create solutions that enhance the developer experience and introduce new features through a self-service Platform
• rooted in Kubernetes
• Deliver changes to the platform in a controlled manner
• Design and implement solutions to increase the stability, resilience and security of our
• stateful platform
• Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well-tested and easy to maintain and
• extend

What we are looking for in the candidate's profile

• Operational experience of Kafka at scale
• Experience delivering cloud infrastructure with Terraform
• Experience of Kubernetes
• Be an advocate for containerisation and cloud-native solutions
• Excellent English skills (B2+)

And also would be great if you:

• have knowledge of Java and/or Go
• have experience with engaging positively with users of an internal platform
• have experience with creating and/or managing custom Kubernetes operators, especially those related to stateful workloads (Strimzi, Koperator, Confluent, Supertubes etc.)
