The IT Terminal Infrastructure Architect holds responsibility for the comprehensive terminal architecture, overseeing all project phases: design, development, implementation, and ongoing support. This role demands proficiency in various domains, including infrastructure, data centers, hardware, hosting services, cloud, security, and network areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete terminals infrastructure design, systems analysis, security, data center operations, and network and voice communication.

• Act as an expert for infrastructure teams in planning, designing, and delivering IT solutions.

• Validate end-to-end technical plan design.

• Validate infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.

• Perform impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems for supporting new solutions.

• Engage in active architecture market monitoring, advocating standards, and advising the IT Terminals team and terminals on standard requirements, methodology, and processes.

• Drive short and long-term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments.

• Participate in proof of concepts to define technology direction and enable business strategy.

• Support, communicate, and validate the architecture program with the project management team.

• Develop enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.

• Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations.

• Assist the entire team and terminal actors in building reliable and viable projects.

• Participate in RFI and/or RFP processes, build project specifications and requirements, evaluate vendor responses, and present decision papers to Business and Terminal IT managers.

• Communicate and collaborate with regional IT staff and colleagues globally on business software, TOS, CMMS, ERP, HR, CRM, etc.

• Build and share IT budgets with the Business department, Regional leaders, and local teams (Terminal IT managers).

• Provide third-level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Infrastructure, or related field.

• Strong experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, Industrial IT, IoT, CCTV, hosting services, and network areas.

• Ability to write architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others.

• Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies, with the ability to apply trends to architectural needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory, and their interaction with hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software.

• Proficiency in using Linux distributions such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, and others.

• Strong working knowledge of virtualization software and hyperconverged infrastructures.

• Deep understanding of TCP, IP, HTTP, and other network protocols, firewalling, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.

• Skills in scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, JavaScript) for SDN, infrastructure automation with APIs.

• Knowledge of storage solutions, high availability, backup solutions, NAS.

• Knowledge of Cisco network and voice gears and technologies, CCNA(P) is highly expected.

• Understanding of managing a data center in terms of systems monitoring (DCIM), cooling, UPS, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of cabling specifications, cabinets, floor plans, power constraints, antennas, CCTV, IoT, and BIM.

• Practice security reviews on various firewall brands with different security architectures (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).

• Cybersecurity knowledge and skills to perform basic audits and propose remediation.

• Ability to operate in an industrial environment and bring the latest prove.
