Senior SAP BW/BPC Developer with German

We are seeking a German-speaking Senior SAP BW/BPC Developer to deliver planning and reporting solutions within SAP BW/4HANA landscapes. The person in this role will provide hands-on development and design of planning applications, translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and collaborate with project teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries. German language proficiency at C1 level is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and moderate workshops to capture and structure business and functional requirements.

• Analyse functional requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.

• Design and implement technical solutions in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BW Integrated Planning (BW/IP) and SAP BPC.

• Develop planning applications, data models, extractors and technical components in accordance with established development guidelines and standards.

• Implement and enhance planning logic, including the use of FOX formulas and related planning constructs.

• Perform bug fixes and resolve issues identified during testing and quality assurance phases.

• Create and maintain technical and system documentation, and prepare delivery and transport packages for application releases.

• Execute development tasks according to backlog prioritisation within a Kanban-based delivery process and participate in agile ceremonies (planning, review, weekly syncs).

• Collaborate with project managers, developers and stakeholders to ensure alignment, on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project experience as a developer in SAP BW/4HANA implementations, including work with extractors.

• Minimum 5 years of project experience in object-oriented programming with ABAP.

• Minimum 5 years of in-depth project experience as a developer in SAP BW BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).

• Project experience in SAP BW Integrated Planning, including practical application of FOX formulas.

• German language proficiency at C1 level.

• Experience with VBA for planning folders — minimum 3 years.

• Proven consulting competence in the elicitation and analysis of customer requirements — minimum 5 years.

• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud demonstrated by at least one referenced project.

• Experience working in agile delivery teams and following Kanban or similar backlog-driven processes.
