Data DevOps Engineer

We are building a multi-tenant data platform on Azure, provisioned and managed entirely as code via Terraform. Each data product team is onboarded as an isolated tenant with its own workspace/schemas , policies, groups, clusters, warehouses and governance boundaries. We're looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines that power this platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable Terraform modules in Azure resources: workspaces, Data Catalog, cluster policies, instance pools, job clusters, SQL warehouses, secret scopes, groups, and service principals,

• Build a module-per-tenant structure so each data product team gets its own isolated access , IAM groups, cluster policies, and cost boundaries,

• Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Gitlab Actions) for Terraform plan/apply, drift detection, and policy validation,

• Manage the supporting Azure infrastructure: VNets, private endpoints, Key Vault, BLOB storage with tagging , Entra ID groups, and RBAC,

• Enforce governance and security: data catalog , access controls, network isolation, secret management, audit logging,

• Define cost controls via policies resource Monitors , autoscaling defaults, and tagging standards per team,

• Onboard new data product teams through a repeatable, self-service workflow,

• Monitor platform health and partner with data engineering teams on troubleshooting and best practices.

Requirements

• Snowflake / Databricks Platform Engineering experience,

• Someone who can bring creativity and can take ownership of the end to end work & delivery,

• Strong Terraform skills, including module design, remote state, and individual data products creation,

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks Terraform provider,

• Solid Azure fundamentals: networking, IAM/Entra ID, ADLS Gen2, Key Vault,

• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or Gitlab Actions including optimize the Run time,

• Scripting in Python or Bash,

• Create CI/CD process based on Gitflow.

Nice to have: Implementation of multi-tenant / data mesh platform background.
