About the role:
The On-Premises DevOps Manager leads and directly manages a team of talented DevOps engineers who are based in Poland. It is a leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our On-Premises infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with high resiliency and availability. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, automation and modern DevOps practice, with strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support business objectives while safeguarding IT assets and operations. The teamwork focuses mainly on the following areas:
- Build infrastructure for building projects created in native technologies - including distributed compilation – on on-premises.
- Source code management systems.
- Secure firmware signing and key management.
- Release management tooling.
- Infrastructure monitoring and observability.
What you will get to do:
On-Premises Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement and maintain a highly available and scalable infrastructure
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployment of applications
- Ensure system uptime, performance, security, and scalability
- Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure proactive incident management
- Own disaster recovery, backup strategies, and compliance requirements
- Manage configuration, provisioning, and automation tools (e.g., Salt, Terraform, Ansible)
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve productivity and system robustness
- Optimize infrastructure architecture to support emerging technologies and business growth
- Report on system performance, incident trends, and team KPIs to leadership
- Collaborate with development and security teams to implement best practices in DevSecOps
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to align infrastructure related initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Prioritize and execute project work to help achieve team goals.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in relevant technologies, equipment, and systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance performance and security.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Strong experience with On-Premises platforms
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, GitHub Actions, Zuul etc.)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in on-premises environments
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Icinga, Zabbix)
- Experience with configuration-as-a-service technologies.
- Experience with Cloud solutions (AWS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks from a variety of sources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
