Job Summary:
A Salesforce Developer at Wood-Mizer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support our business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, customize Salesforce features, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help expand Salesforce to more departments across Wood-Mizer locations, including South America and Europe.
- Develop and maintain customized global solutions on the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, workflows, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions.
- Assist in the integration of Salesforce with external applications and other enterprise systems using APIs and tools like MuleSoft or similar.
- Perform Salesforce system configuration, including user management, security settings, roles, profiles, and permissions.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in the Salesforce platform, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
- Create and maintain documentation for development processes, configuration changes, and system integrations.
- Stay current with Salesforce updates, best practices, and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance the platform's capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience developing and customizing Salesforce solutions.
- Proficiency in Salesforce development tools and technologies, including Apex, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs, VS Code salesforce extensions.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce declarative tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with CI/CD processes is a plus.
- Understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and best practices for scalable development.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I) are highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Fluent in English - both in written and verbal communication
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with third-party tools like MuleSoft Anypoint, Genesys Cloud, or DocuSign.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with AI tools like Copilot supporting programming and low level technical problems solving.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
