Team: 20-person Scrum team responsible for separate microservices

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to play a central role in shaping the technical quality, delivery discipline, and long-term evolution of a high-performance trading platform operating in a regulated and high-reliability environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an exceptional engineer who combines deep backend expertise with strong technical judgment, ownership mindset, and the ability to raise engineering standards across teams.

This role is focused on BUILD — product evolution, platform quality, and long-term technical direction.

Your role:

-> Act as a senior technical authority across backend and platform components

-> Contribute directly to architectural decisions related to: low-latency order management, execution algorithms, smart order routing, event-driven and distributed systems

-> Translate product direction into technically sound and executable engineering plans

-> Define and uphold high standards for: code quality, testing strategies, observability

-> Drive consistent review practices

-> Partner with engineering leadership to maintain focus on product-building initiatives

-> Mentor senior and mid-level engineers

-> Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture stakeholders

Your skills and experiences:

-> 8–10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, ideally within trading, fintech, or other high-reliability domains

-> Deep expertise in Java and/or Kotlin and modern backend architectures

-> Strong experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems

-> Solid understanding of: low-latency systems concurrency, performance tuning, messaging systems and distributed caching

-> Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures

-> Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation

-> Strong skills in observability, monitoring, and diagnostics

-> Practical use of modern AI tools to enhance engineering quality and productivity

-> Strong spoken and written English (min C1)
