Cybersecurity GRC Consultant

Our client: US-based cybersecurity company headquartered in New York City

Location: Remotely from Poland, business trips up to 10% of working time

Rate: 45 - 55 USD per hour + VAT

Working time: 15:00- 23:00 (Polish time)

Recruitment process: 2-3 interviews (screening and two technical interviews about 30 min)

Our Client is a US-based cybersecurity company headquartered in New York City whose mission is to support its clients in mitigating cyber threats. They are focused on three main areas: Cyber Breach Response, Cloud Security Services, and Proactive Cyber Services. Their military-grade professionals have decades of experience in cyber operations and apply their knowledge of the attacker perspective to facilitate efficient, effective, and scalable responses to cyber breaches. Their growing team combines operational and technological disciplines with instinctual methods to keep their client’s information safe.

Your role is to:

-> Run a comprehensive cyber assurance strategy in alignment with business objectives;

-> Maintain a framework for ongoing cybersecurity risk assessments and assurance activities;

-> Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the integration of cyber assurance activities;

-> Report on the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations;

-> Maintain relationships with external auditors;

-> Implement cyber assurance policies and procedures;

-> Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Your skills and experiences:

-> 5+ years of relevant IT and Information Security experience

Advanced knowledge of industry authoritative sources such as NIST, COBIT, GDPR, and ISO standards;

-> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex regulations and apply them to business operations;

-> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external auditors;

-> Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously;

-> Stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills;

-> Proficiency in using compliance management tools and software;

-> Familiarity with GRC platforms, security-related legal and regulatory requirements;

-> Ability to act independently with minimal supervision;

-> Strong English skills (C1).

Nice to have:

+ Prior experience in a compliance role within the information security domain;

+ Professional certifications such as CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor;

+ Familiarity with risk management frameworks and their application to compliance activities.
