QA Test Lead

VolleyStation is a provider of software and hardware solutions for the volleyball market. We cover both in-depth statistical game analysis as well as game scoring and live data processing.

We are searching for a proactive QA Test Lead to become the "starter" of our QA team.
Currently, our QA tasks are expanding rapidly, and we need a dedicated expert to take ownership of this area. We are looking for someone who doesn’t just follow scripts but builds the entire strategy from the ground up. Your responsibilities:

• Create and implement a long-term QA vision and testing processes for our products.

• Drive the transition from manual testing to a smart automation-first approach, selecting the right tools and frameworks (e.g., for API and E2E) to ensure scalability.

• Plan and oversee testing activities across the product lifecycle, acting as the bridge between developers, analysts, and subject matter experts.

• Identify where the biggest quality bottlenecks are and propose strategic directions to solve them.

• Manage the testing process in collaboration with analysts, developers, and subject matter experts (statisticians, coaches).

• Initially a hands-on lead role, you will be responsible for eventually recruiting, mentoring, and building a high-performing QA team.

• Drive the evolution of our quality standards by working closely with the team to ensure excellence is baked into the product from day one.

Our requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in software testing, with proven experience in a Senior or Lead capacity.

• High levels of independence and proactivity. We need someone who doesn’t wait for a manual but creates it.

• Strong practical experience with test automation (API, E2E).

• Understanding of code (Python/ TypeScript).

• Ability to identify bottlenecks in a fast-changing environment and propose structured, logical solutions. Strong communication skills, ability to push ideas through.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to navigate between technical teams and sports-focused product owners.

• Minimum C1 level English is required for communication with our international team.

Nice to have:

• Some experience with the sport tech, event industry, or international software platforms.
