Quality Assurance Engineer (MotionSense)
We foster a dynamic culture rooted in strong engineering, a sense of ownership, and transparency, empowering our team. As part of the expanding VirtusLab Group, we offer a compelling environment for those seeking to make a substantial impact in the software industry within a forward-thinking organization.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance for a motion-driven mobile application delivered on Android and iOS. The role focuses on validating functionality, usability, and accuracy of real-time feedback in a product that directly interacts with users’ physical activity.
You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure specifications are implemented precisely, combining hands-on manual testing with selective end-to-end automation where applicable. A strong user-centric mindset, experience with mobile platforms, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced MVP environment are essential for success in this role.
Project
MotionSense
Project Scope
MotionSense is a mobile rehabilitation platform designed to support patients in performing prescribed physical exercises outside clinical environments, while enabling remote progress monitoring by professionals. The solution provides real-time feedback on movement correctness using AI-driven motion analysis based on standard mobile device cameras.
The project focuses on delivering a functional Android and iOS MVP, with strong emphasis on correctness, usability, and user safety. Due to the motion-based nature of the product, quality assurance is treated as a core delivery capability rather than a final validation step.
Tech Stack
Android, iOS, native mobile applications, AI-based motion analysis, computer vision, biomechanical movement modeling, manual QA, end-to-end test automation, Kotlin
Challenges
Motion-based testing complexity caused by non-deterministic physical user interactions.
Accuracy of real-time feedback, critical for user safety and rehabilitation outcomes.
Cross-platform consistency between Android and iOS under tight timelines.
Balancing speed and quality during rapid MVP delivery.
Team
The project is delivered by a lean, cross-functional, remote-first team optimized for rapid MVP execution. A Senior QA Engineer is embedded into the delivery process, working closely with product and engineering stakeholders.
The role covers end-to-end quality assurance for both mobile platforms, combining hands-on manual testing with selective automation where feasible. Engagement is flexible (50–100%) and aligned with delivery milestones.
What we expect in general
Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in testing mobile applications.
Solid understanding of both Android and iOS ecosystems.
Being comfortable taking ownership of quality in a fast-moving product environment, working independently while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
A user-centric mindset, clear communication, and attention to detail are essential, particularly when validating features that involve real-world physical interaction.
The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable and able to balance speed of delivery with a consistently high quality bar.
Fluent in English.
Seems lots of expectations, huh? Don’t worry! You don’t have to meet all the requirements. What matter the most is your passion and willingness to develop. Apply and find out!
