QA Automation (Senior)

The engineer in this role will actively participate in the development of the infrastructure supporting automated testing. A key part of the work involves setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. The main task is writing new functional automated tests, which requires a deep understanding of the newly implemented functionality. The candidate will closely collaborate with the QA and Engineering teams to integrate test scenarios into the regular automation cycle. Responsibilities also include the continuous monitoring and analysis of test results in TeamCity, identifying bugs by analyzing logs and commits, and subsequently reporting them in YouTrack and verifying that the fixes are properly backported across all necessary branches.

📝Project scope

The project builds a multi-platform desktop application that helps large organizations manage developer tools such as IDEs and plugins. It focuses on delivering a seamless user experience, enabling version control and configuration management at scale.

Kotlin, Spring, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, S3, TeamCity (for CI), Space (for code reviews)

🤝Team

The team consists of 4 engineers on our side and over 5 on the client side, collaborating closely through code reviews. They bring strong experience in developer tooling and maintain high engineering standards across a distributed setup.

What we expect in general

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and hands-on testing experience

• Experience in building automated testing infrastructure and processes

• Java or Kotlin programming experience

• The ability to understand other peopleʼs code (both test and product code)

• The ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to work both in a team andindependently

• Good English language skills to interact with colleagues and end users

• Hands-on experience in automation testing is required

• Experience working in IntelliJ IDEA is required

• Strong desire to grow professionally and high self-motivation

• Willingness to propose new ideas and improvements for current approaches
