What we achieve together
- You establish the API Governance and API Management for internal and external APIs at Vaillant Group
- Together with digital solution development teams, you analyze and (re)design existing and new APIs to shape Vaillant's digital platform integration layer.
- Embedded in a strong community of architects, you participate in the design of our digital solution platform and establish a stable, reliable and re-usable API layer on top of the core business functionalities.
- You support development teams in finding the best architectural approach for new digital solutions, based on the principles and guidelines you establish.
- With your experience, you help to monitor, test and improve APIs to ensure stability, reliability, performance and security.
- Based on requirements, you evaluate and establish adequate tools to manage the API landscape and to run the API Governance processes
What makes us successful together
- Proven experience in the design of complex solutions with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns in heterogeneous and distributed system environments
- A clear understanding of the implications of security, scalability, reliability and sustainability on the API design
- Wide knowledge of communication protocols, integration patterns and payload encodings. You know how to formulate best practices into clear guidelines.
- You are familiar with modern software development methods and tools and with infrastructure as code. You have a deep understanding of Java or another JVM language.
- Knowlege of API management tools, Kafka or JMS brokers is a plus
- You have very good analytical and communication skills and a structured way of working, combined with a high degree of initiative and motivation
- Fluent business English
