Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer for our client in the banking sector. You will be part of a team ensuring high-quality delivery by working according to the latest internal Testing Standards.

Responsibilities: 

·                 Continuously automating newly created test cases 

·                 Maintaining the automation test code repository in good shape and aligned with best practices 

·                 Managing daily automation test runs and reviewing the results 

·                 Keeping the list of automated test cases updated (both in the repository and test management tool) 

·                 Providing ongoing fixes and necessary code changes 

·                 Planning and executing regression tests for each release 

·                 Supporting the team by early detection and sharing of defects/issues 

·                 Reporting, handling, and verifying defects 

·                 Recommending appropriate actions after test execution 

·                 Identifying and implementing additional scenarios for automation 

·                 Collaborating closely with the team to ensure delivery of high-quality software 

Required Skills: 

·                 Strong tester mindset – attention to detail, quality, and issue detection 

·                 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

·                 Proactive attitude 

·                 Familiarity with modern testing standards (ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus) 

·                 Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing (Functional, System, Integration, API) – 5+ years 

·                 Ability to work in an international, cross-country environment 

·                 Good communication skills and proficiency in English 

·                 Willingness to learn new tools and processes 

 Experience and Knowledge: 

·                 Over 4 years of professional experience in test automation 

·                 4+ years of experience in UI test automation (Web) using Selenium 

·                 Strong experience in GUI (Web) and service-level (REST) testing 

·                 Solid Java test coding skills – 4+ years 

·                 Proficiency in tools supporting test automation: Maven, Selenium WebDriver, Rest-Assured, Postman, Chrome DevTools 

·                 API testing experience with REST and SOAP – 3+ years 

·                 Working experience with Bitbucket integrated with Jenkins pipelines 

·                 Experience with remote repositories (GIT) – 4+ years 

·                 General knowledge aligned with ISTQB Foundation Level 

·                 Hands-on experience with test management tools (preferably qTest, HP ALM) – 3+ years 

·                 Skilled in defining, executing, and reporting on complex software test cases 

·                 Understanding of test data dependencies and structure 

·                 Practical experience with Jira and Confluence 

·                 Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) 

·                 Basic SQL knowledge 

Nice to have: experience in mobile app testing and working with data formats like XML, CSV, JSON 

 Tools & Technologies: 

·                 Languages: Java, English 

·                 Frameworks: Selenium, Robot Framework 

·                 Tools: GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, qTest, Maven, Teams, Office365
