Data Engineer – Trino/Apache Trino

We are looking for a Data Engineer specialized in data virtualization with strong expertise in Starburst Trino / Apache Trino. You will be responsible for installation, configuration, and performance optimization of Trino environments, integration with AWS, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting distributed queries.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and optimize Starburst / Apache Trino environments

• Design and develop solutions based on data virtualization

• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed queries

• Integrate with security systems (LDAP, Ranger)

• Build and maintain automation processes (CI/CD, deployment, release management)

• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Starburst Trino / Apache Trino (administration, configuration, tuning)

• Experience with AWS

• Solid skills in monitoring and debugging distributed queries

• Understanding of security frameworks (LDAP, Ranger)

• Programming skills (Python, SQL, Bash, Node.js, Linux/Unix Shell etc.)

• Experience with data engineering practices (versioning, deployment, release management)

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and customer focus
