What is going on at Twisto right now?
We are an award winning fintech, initially backed by leading international investors and currently in the process of becoming part of ZIP – the global leader in “Buy now. Pay later”, operating across 13 markets globally.
We started eight years ago as the simplest deferred payment solution at online checkout. Today we are a daily payments app, delivering seamless omni-channel daily payments to customers across Europe. And you can help on our next journey of expansion and growth in Europe & beyond! We are looking for a new colleague to take a position of DevOps Engineer.
Main responsibilities:
We solve the system architecture and review of major changes in terms of security. We try to remove all steps that block others at work.
We are writing an application that starts its own staging environment on a click. We are preparing robots that talk to us through Slack. We help analysts write effective SQL and so they can solve as many things as possible on their own. We solve database anonymization and test snapshots within a few seconds. Passwords for WiFi and VPN are given by our application itself. We teach others how to work with Docker and Kubernet. And sometimes we also install servers.

How we develop:
We use agile development methods, Kanban has been suitable for us for the last two years. Several teams are involved in the development of the backend application in our country, each of which is built in such a way that it is self-sufficient and focuses on a separate area. In the DevOps team, we help not only developers, but also our analysts and risk takers, for example.
Our DevOps team is not a service team, but we have our own road map and we work on our own projects.
We try to minimize the "bureaucracy" to a reasonable level, which will allow us to focus on work, but also to have an overview of long-term goals and know how other teams stand.

At DevOps, we have a stand-up every morning, where we deal with routine operations. In addition, we have an hour-long meeting once a week, where we drink tea and solve current problems in more detail.

- The basis is knowledge of administration in a Linux system;
- Orientation in the Docker environment and containerization in general;
- The DevOps team, of which you will be a part, also programs a lot with us. If you have experience with Python or SQL, you will have an advantage;
- You want to improve. We review each other and you will sometimes do it to more experienced colleagues;
- You will encounter many different technologies. We expect you to be able to evaluate them, choose the right one, implement it, and explain it to others who will be affected;
- It is necessary to speak and write English with us.
