Senior Python Developer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable software solutions for the analytics platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.

• Optimize and enhance existing software for improved performance and scalability.

• Diagnose and resolve complex software issues and defects.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices.

• Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend services or analytics platforms.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, scalability, and distributed systems.

• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas or Polars.

• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., GCP) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

• Knowledge of FastAPI or similar frameworks for building high-performance APIs is an asset.

• Experience with Apache Spark, Ray.io, or Daft (getdaft.io) is considered an advantage.
