AWS Cloud Engineer (with Redshift/PostgreSQL)

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon Redshift (PostgreSQL) to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions in the AWS cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, migration, and accessibility across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based data solutions using Amazon Redshift, ensuring high performance, security, and cost efficiency.

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL (RDS) including schema design, performance tuning, and data migration.

• Collaborate with project teams on data integration and database migration to AWS.

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using IaaC primarily with AWS CDK (TypeScript) to ensure consistency, scalability, and repeatability.

• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes, including data mapping (experience with Informatica is a strong plus).

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high system availability.

• Integrate automation and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions to deploy infrastructure and application components across multiple environments.

• Document solution architecture and best practices for cloud data management.

• Support development and analytics teams with data access and processing needs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with AWS database services and Amazon Redshift.

• Experience with PostgreSQL (RDS) and SQL optimization techniques.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based solutions.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture

• Experience with Informatica is an advantage.

• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work full-time on-site in Gdańsk (mandatory requirement).
