Senior Data Engineer with Snowflake and AWS (f/m/x)

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and scaling advanced data architectures, driving automation, and setting technical standards within modern cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support strategic data and analytics initiatives across the organization.

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines from acquisition to consumption

• Architecting and optimizing scalable data workflows in cloud environments

• Productionizing and performance-tuning data solutions for business use cases

• Implementing automation through advanced metadata management

• Utilizing modern data preparation, integration, and AI-enabled metadata management tools

• Tracking and analyzing data consumption patterns

• Performing intelligent data sampling and caching

• Monitoring and managing schema changes

• Recommending and automating existing and future data integration flows

• Collaborating with data science teams and business analysts in refining data requirements

• Supporting modernization and automation of data management infrastructure

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and building production-grade data platforms

• Expertise in designing and maintaining complex data pipelines

• Familiarity with cloud solutions, particularly AWS

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake

• Experience in Infrastructure as Code development using Terraform

• Advanced SQL proficiency in data transformation and optimization

• Knowledge of modern data preparation and integration tools

• Understanding of metadata management and automation concepts

• Experience in performance optimization and cost optimization in cloud environments

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Strong communication skills and a proactive knowledge-sharing approach
